How to apply for aerial photography access

Aerial spots put the view from above on the record: fixed aerial viewpoints — construction sites, coastlines, rehabilitated mines, farmland — re-photographed over time and aligned into one growing timelapse.

Who can see aerial spots

Everyone. Aerial spots appear on the map for all users with their own dark-blue marker, in the app and on the website — anyone can follow the series, play the timelapse, and share the spot. In the app they are read-only: there is no capture button, because aerial photos don't come from phones.

Who can upload to them

Uploading aerial photos is a vetted permission, not a default account feature — we enable it per account for professional operators. Approved users upload on the website from their desktop: full-resolution files straight out of your workflow, with position, altitude and capture time prefilled from the files themselves, and a manual alignment editor with onion-skin and difference views to register each frame onto the baseline. Aerial spots have no daily capture limit, so you can backfill a whole survey archive in one sitting, and every upload can carry your source credit, shown wherever the photo appears.

How to apply

Send us a message via the contact form and include:

• Who you are — your Ephemeros username (create a free account first if you don't have one; the permission is attached to your account).
• What you plan to photograph — the sites or areas you want to survey, and roughly how often.
• Your operating credentials — for example your drone operator licence or certification, or other proof that you fly professionally and legally.

You must hold the rights to every image you upload and fly within the rules that apply where you operate — every upload includes a rights attestation.

We review applications individually and reply by email. Once aerial uploads are enabled on your account, you can create your first aerial spot the same day.
